You are probably doing this both for the satisfaction of designing and building your own house and for the large cost savings accrued.  Heat pumps and solar fit very well with this philosophy and represent that unusual situation where the environmentally most friendly system is also the cheapest to run.  If you have enough ground on the building plot, this is definitely the best way to go.  You will be eligible for a £1200 grant for heat pump installation and up to £800 for solar thermal if you use registered installers (Green Dragon!).  We will assist in the application for grants.

If you are drawing your own plans, then talk to us early on and we can advise on general points.  When you have completed plans, then send them to us for final comments and a quotation.  We will specify at what stage we need to install and all services etc. required prior to installation.  When the building is complete we will commission the system.

If you are using an architect, then ask them to contact us to discuss design and implementation.
